Custom Alabaster Chandelier Project OverviewThis custom alabaster chandelier project was developed for residential interiors with different ceiling heights and room proportions.
The project required one lighting family that could work in several spaces. These included a long dining area, a foyer, and a double-height interior.
Instead of using one fixed chandelier structure, the Noreniridge system allowed the pendant quantity, suspension length, and canopy shape to change for each space.
This gave the project a consistent visual language while still allowing each installation to respond to the architecture.
The main material used throughout the project was natural alabaster.
Each shade has its own stone pattern. Veining, tone, and translucency vary naturally from piece to piece.
This variation was important to the design because it prevented the installation from looking too uniform.
When illuminated, the alabaster produces a soft and warm glow. The stone remains visually interesting even when the lights are off.
The use of natural alabaster lighting also helped create a stronger connection between the lighting, stone finishes, wood furniture, and neutral interior materials.
The Noreniridge system was selected because the number of pendants could be adjusted for each room.
The round canopy works well in vertical spaces such as foyers and stair halls. Pendants can drop at different heights to create a layered composition.
The linear canopy works better above long dining tables and other horizontal layouts.

Standard configurations can use 3, 7, 15, 30, or 36 lights. Custom quantities can also be developed for larger projects.
Every pendant uses an independently adjustable suspension cable.
This allows the installer to control the drop height of each light separately.
For dining areas, the pendants can stay within a more controlled height range.
For foyers and double-height spaces, the drop lengths can vary more dramatically.

This approach makes the fixture suitable for large foyers, stair halls, and double-height living spaces.

The project used alabaster shades with visible natural veining.
No two shades look exactly the same.
When the fixture is illuminated, darker and lighter mineral patterns become more visible through the stone.
This creates a softer and more decorative light effect than ordinary clear or frosted glass.
The warm light also works well with beige plaster, travertine, wood, and other natural interior finishes.
The alabaster shades are produced from natural stone and finished individually.
During production, the stone is cut, shaped, polished, and checked before final assembly.
